Carpe Diem: Seize the day
What will happen when we die?
Will we look back and laugh?
Will we look back and cry?
Will we look back embarrassed?
Will we look back ashamed?
Will it matter, it’s passed,
There’s no loss, there’s no gain?
Did you make most of you time?
Did you savor the day?
Did you make life sublime?
Did you live life your own way?
Things of this life only break away,
don’t waste life on things of this world
for your friends, your family don’t break,
.....
but they stay.

That poem is sweet. I couldn't write something that good.
ReplyDeleteI like the repetition you chose here. It helped you structure your poem greatly. And then, when you abandoned the structure in the last stanza, it created a focus on the final lines.
ReplyDeletei thought that was really deep, i liked how you stayed on a main theme until the end... good job!!
