The Charcoal Man
Life....
fast, blurred, gone in a wink
make use of your time, you need to think
your days are short but the time feels long,
so sing the words to your favorite song,
and enjoy the time thats given to you,
do whatever you want with a smile anew

Assignment Four: Carpe Diem
Carpe Diem: Seize the day
What will happen when we die?
Will we look back and laugh?
Will we look back and cry?
Will we look back embarrassed?
Will we look back ashamed?
Will it matter, it’s passed,
There’s no loss, there’s no gain?
Did you make most of you time?
Did you savor the day?
Did you make life sublime?
Did you live life your own way?
Things of this life only break away,
don’t waste life on things of this world
for your friends, your family don’t break,
.....
but they stay.

Assignment Two: Rip it Out!
Don't let the world fill your head,
but let your own mind think.
If you listened to the world you'd surely be dead
and your life would be gone in a blink.
But be yourself, set your own path down,
and place apon your head a crown,
for you have embraced life at full,
you have lived life.
If you were dying and had a word,
one single word that might not be heard,
what would that word be?

Assingment One: What does Poetry mean to You?
Poetry is man's rebellion against being what he is. ~James Branch Cabell

I think poetry is the soul of language. It is what you write that comes from the mind. Poetry is the language that most expresses ideas and emotions from deepest point of the autor.
