The war was spreading like plague,
the men all lined in rows,
the allies and axis were fighting all day,
was he an enemy, was he a foe?
The noise was undescribable,
like an eternal scream,
the sky was the darkest black,
it's the worst type of dream.
The bombs were falling on our heads,
the bullets flying by,
some of the men were only boys,
too sad, too young to die.
Hurrah, the war was over!
Hurrah! we finally won!
when the whistle was blown but is it win,
to prove your point with a gun?

ReplyDeleteA really great photo to choose as inspiration.
